• Hiring of a Ph.D. Researcher, funded under the 2025–2029 Multi-Year Funding Program for R&D Units, reference number UID/308/2025.
• Ref. INESCC/MAP.SAF.EME/1/2026
• Scientific Field: Earth Observation and Machine Learning
• Minimum Requirements:

1. 1. Ph.D. in the field of Earth Observation and Machine Learning;
   2. Demonstrated experience in the following topics: machine learning, computer vision, Earth observation, thematic accuracy of geospatial data, geospatial data science
   3. Participation, including some level of scientific management, in national and international R&D project teams

• Other requirements:

1. 1. Ability to write technical/scientific documents in English;
   2. Leadership, a strong motivation to work in a team, combining excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines;
   3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish collaborative relationships with partners from interdisciplinary fields.
