Milestones

2004.12.09 - Project QUORUM was approved by FCT, starting the research activities.

2005.04.24 - Project QUORUM was homologated for programme POCI 2010.

2005.05.23 - Official starting date for project QUORUM.

2008.06.30 - Ending date for project QUORUM.

 

Organization of events

  • Carlos Henggeler Antunes and Luis Dias organized a cycle of conferences on the theme "Decision", promoted by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research, the INESC Coimbra and the Faculty of Economics, at the University of Coimbra. The conferences were presented by Paul Slovic (Decision Research), Alexis Tsoukiàs (CNRS / U. Paris Dauphine), Ralph Keeney (Duke University), and John Broome (Oxford University). 2005.10.14 and 2005.11.11

  • João Clímaco, João Paulo Costa, Luís Dias and Paulo Melo are in the organizing team for the Group Decision and Negotiation Meeting (GDN 2008), Coimbra, Portugal, 17-20 June, 2008, as well as the co-located Third Decision Deck Workshop, Coimbra, 16-17 June 2008.

  • 2005.03.10-11 - Luis Dias presented the communication "Supporting groups in sorting decisions: methodology and use of a multi-criteria aggregation-disaggregation DSS" by Damart, S., L.C. Concluded theses

  • 2006.06.16 - Clara Rocha has sustained her MSc dissertation “Problemas de classificação ordinal multicritério com base em exemplos: três propostas metodológicas (Multicriteria ordinal sorting problems based on examples: three methodological proposals)” at the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra.

  • 2006.03.22 - Paula Sarabando Santos has sustained her MSc dissertation “Comparação de métodos multicritério de avaliação com informação ordinal utilizando simulação Monte-Carlo (Comparison of multicriteria evaluation methods with ordinal information using Monte-Carlo simulation)” at the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra.

  • 2007.05.29 - Pedro Nuno de Almeida has sustained his MSc dissertation  “Incorporação de preferências no modelo DEA Aditivo para avaliação de desempenho de uma cadeia de lojas (Incorporation of preferences in the Additive DEA model for an assessment of the performance of a chain of retail stores)” at the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra.

  • 2007.07.16 - João António Costa has sustained his Professional MSc report at the Department of Informatics Engineering, University of Coimbra, concerning a 5 months internship at INESC Coimbra developing a VIP Analysis plug-in for the Decision Deck project.

 

Special note

  • 2008.03.17 - At the opening session of the 13th meeting of the Portuguese OR Society APDIO (IO/2008), Pedro Almeida received the IO/2008 Award for the best work resulting from a masters dissertation in the biennium 2006-2007, with the paper "Incorporação de Preferências no Modelo DEA Aditivo para Avaliação de Desempenho numa Cadeia de Lojas" ), by P.N. Almeida and L.C. Dias (dissertation supervisor).
