Sorting and performance evaluation with qualitative /
ordinal information using multiple criteria
QUORUM is a research project at the
Institute for Computers and Systems
Engineering at Coimbra (INESC Coimbra), financed by the Portuguese
Foundation for Science and Technology
for the period 2005-2008. The QUORUM project intends:
-
To advance the state-of-the-art in decision-aiding
methods working with qualitative/ordinal information.
-
To confront ordinal information methods for
multi-criteria evaluation with cardinal ones.
-
To find new bridges between multi-criteria sorting
problems and efficiency measurement.
-
To find new bridges between multi-criteria sorting
problems and task assignment problems.
-
To develop the state-of-the-art in efficiency and
performance evaluation methods that consider multiple evaluation factors
and the evaluator’s judgement.
-
To propose methods for sorting and performance
evaluation problems with multiple evaluators (e.g., juries, teams).
-
To develop prototypes of innovative Decision Support
Systems (DSS) based on typical personal computers, and Group DSS that
make use of the Internet.
-
To foster the use of decision-aiding methods in
organizations, by making them easier to understand and apply.
-
To develop knowledge that may be transferred to
companies developing DSS.
